How it works

From the first cut to the handover

Zurgina follows a commission the way a workshop does: set up, build, share, hand over. Here is each step, and what is in the beta today.
  1. 01

    Set up your workshop

    In beta

Name, logo and accent colour, your country, currency and units (millimetres or inches). Start from the furniture template: twelve stages from brief to handover, material fields for timber, sheet goods, finishes, hardware and upholstery, and care texts for each finish. Change anything you like.

    • —Up to three people per workshop during the beta
    • —Templates are yours to edit; new versions never rewrite past commissions
  2. 02

    Start a commission

    In beta

Add the client, the piece or pieces, and a target date if you want one. Stages come from the template; reorder, skip or add your own.

    • —The target date is yours to set; we never estimate it for you
    • —Internal notes and costs stay private
  3. 03

    Log from the bench

    In beta

Open the app on your phone, tap once for a photo, a short video or a voice note, and pick the stage. Entries are saved on the phone first and sync when you are back online.

    • —Photos are stripped of location data before anyone else sees them
    • —Link a timber batch or a supplier document to an entry
  4. 04

    Share as you go

    In beta

Every entry is private until you publish it. Publish the moments worth showing, one at a time or a day’s worth at once. Your client opens a private link, sees the stages and the entries, and can leave a comment.

    • —Instant emails or a daily digest, the client chooses
    • —A gentle reminder for you if a commission has been quiet for two weeks; never a message to the client
  5. 05

    Hand over the passport

    In beta

At delivery, confirm the details and the piece gets its serial number and a passport page: maker, materials with where the information came from, highlights from the build, the care card for the finish you used, and the warranty.

    • —QR code sized for engraving, with a short web address next to it
    • —Care card, ownership card and certificate ready to print
  6. 06

    After the handover

    Planned

Owners can find you again from the passport. Ownership transfer with the code from the ownership card, repair requests with photos and care reminders follow after the beta.

    • —Owners are only ever shown as “Owner #1 since March 2026”

Questions

How long does a log entry take?+

We are designing for under a minute from tap to saved, and three taps for a photo. We will measure it in the beta and publish what we find.

Can more than one person log entries?+

Yes. During the beta a workshop can have up to three people, and each entry records who made it.

What if I make several pieces in one commission?+

One commission can produce several pieces. Each gets its own serial number and passport at handover.

Can I create passports for work I made before?+

Yes. You can add a past piece without a commission, with its own serial number or the one you used at the time.

Beta

We are opening the beta to small groups of furniture makers first, so each studio gets a proper start. Free while it lasts.
